As the Festive Season gets nearer, just a quick note of thanks for those of you who kept up your membership over the last 12 months, and CONGRATULATIONS if you achieved the goal you set for yourself! In particular, CONGRATULATIONS to the two Precious’s who between them lost over 5 stone towards their goal weights through their hard work and dedication.
This year saw us survive extremely trying economic times with many in the industry, including the Total Fitness group and Clane H&L, going out of business. In an effort to gain competitive advantage, we trialled an Alter-G anti-gravity treadmill in July and August, and though it attracted some celebrity business, it would not have been financially viable to keep it and hence it was returned. In November we procured our MyZone effort tracking system, which has proven to be a great motivational tool for those who have bought a belt. We encourage more members to do so next year.
Finally, regarding our hours over the festive season, we will be closing at 18h00 on Friday 23rd December and will re-open doors on Wednesday 28th through Friday 30th December between 11h00 and 17h00. Saturday 31st December to Monday 2nd January the gym will be closed. We re-open for business on 3rd January at 07h00 for the New Year.
